OTTUMWA — Peggy Paul, of Warrensburg, Missouri, has been named the Ottumwa Courier’s new circulation manager.
Paul, who began her tenure with the Courier on Monday, is no stranger to circulation.
Most recently she was the circulation and distribution managers of The Daily Star-Journal newspaper in Warrensburg, Missouri, overseeing the daily operations of the circulation and distribution departments.
Prior to that, she served in various circulation, advertising and management positions at The Examiner in Independence, Missouri. At The Examiner, she oversaw the daily distribution of more than 10,000 daily newspapers delivered by 25 independent contractors in addition to organizing fundraising activities to support the Newspapers in Education program.
In addition to her newspaper experience, Paul worked as a buyer’s assistant at Hall’s Merchandising in Kansas City, Missouri, and as purchasing agent for Barclay Marine Distributing Corp.
Paul said the most important part of her new job will be to ensure quality delivery and services to stores, outside racks, homes and businesses. Her primary goal will be to increase the quality of customer services for print and online subscribers.
A mother of four, Paul also has seven grandchildren, and in her spare time she enjoys walking and bike riding.
