---- — OTTUMWA — The Wapello County Courthouse has seen significant renovations over the past several years, and it looks as if another update could be in the works.
The Wapello County Supervisors’ meeting on Tuesday includes a presentation on possible remodeling of the juvenile court office. But it wasn’t clear on Friday just how far those efforts might go. The person with the plans was out of state.
Supervisor Greg Kenning said he’s curious about what will be discussed.
“I think we’re going to just have to wait and see what they have in mind,” he said. “We’ve remodeled other parts of the courthouse, and I wonder if that’s what they have in mind.”
The discussion on remodeling the juvenile court office is one of a very few items on the supervisors’ agenda. Only two other items, one a resolution for tax abatement for the Last Days Ministries Church and the other a resolution to remove two cabins from the county’s tax roll, are scheduled for discussion.
The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the third-floor boardroom in the Wapello County Courthouse.
