OTTUMWA — A 50-year-old rural Wapello County man has been arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses.
At approximately 6:45 a.m. Thursday, officers from the Wapello County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Narcotics Enforcement, US Drug Enforcement Administration and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task force executed a search warrant at the residence of Matthew Francis Yochum, 4367 91st Ave., in rural Wapello County.
As a result of the search, officers located items consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine and the manufacture of marijuana.
Yochum was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, a Class “C” Felony; manufacture of marijuana, a Class “D” Felony; and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class “D” Felony.
Also arrested during the execution of the search warrant on an outstanding warrant for her arrest was Kirsten Yenger-Hope, 44, 9790 Miller Chapel Road. Yenger-Hope was arrested on warrants for driving under suspension and operation without registration.
