---- — OTTUMWA — The Oskaloosa man who allegedly robbed a landlord and then fled custody a month later received a 15-year prison sentence.

Curtis Wayne Bunnell, 39, of Oskaloosa, was originally charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree theft and assault while participating in a felony after an Ottumwa landlord reported being robbed at gunpoint on Nov. 9.

In court, Bunnell pleaded guilty to first-degree theft and received a sentence of 10 years in adult corrections with credit for time served. As a result, his charges of robbery and assault were dismissed.
