The Van Buren County Board of Supervisors will negotiate a lease agreement with Tenco Industries, Inc., for the leasing of the former county care facility.
Center Village, Inc., had leased it for a number of years but ran into certification problems. The state temporarily extended the certification to give Center Village time to find another operator, Richard Nichols told the board at its December meeting. The board met with Tenco then as well.
At this month’s meeting, the board appointed the following county officers to a committee to negotiate with Tenco Industries, Inc., a lease agreement: Supervisor Mark Meek, CPC Karen Ruppert, County Attorney Craig Miller, and County Auditor Jon P. Finney.
Also during the meeting, Meek was elected chairman of the board of for 2013. Newly elected board member, Robert Waugh, was selected vice chairman for this year.
