OTTUMWA — Students who want to participate in this year’s Invention Convention must return their entry forms by Tuesday, according to Talented and Gifted instructor Breanna Hinmon. Students will create working inventions for display at Liberty Elementary School Tuesday, Jan. 30.
Students can sign up for the convention at their school offices before 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. Rules are available there in both English and Spanish. Students can also pick up tip sheets to help with their inventions.
Ottumwa Community School District students in kindergarten through eighth grades are eligible. They will create simple inventions, tri-fold posters and will document their work log books.
