OTTUMWA — The 34th Army Band, Iowa Army National Guard, stationed in Fairfield, will be marching in the Oktoberfest Parade Saturday.
The band, under the command of CW2 Kent Wesseling, 1st Sgt. Brent Krumboltz, SFC Jeff Crile, Readiness NCO, and Drum Major SFC Brian Pappaducas, is comprised of citizen-soldier musicians.
The bands numerous ensembles have extensively toured the state of Iowa and performed on national and world stages. As the official military band of Iowa, the unit has enjoyed performing for many official state functions, such as the governor's inauguration and official visits by United States dignitaries, including the president and numerous foreign leaders.
