KEOSAUQUA — A Hog/Chicken Roast and Auction is being held Saturday, Nov. 2 to benefit Steve Sayre.
Sayre has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy at the Chicago Cancer Center of America. He will have surgery in mid-November but will be required to travel weekly to the Chicago area.
A freewill dinner will begin at 5 p.m. at the Fairgrounds in Keosauqua with the auction and music to follow. Dessert donations are appreciated during the meal. Auction items include an SS CVA Wolf .50 caliber black powder gun, .22 rile, Snap-on tools, Scentsy, homemade baked goods and much more.
The proceeds from this benefit will go toward bill and services required to get Sayre on the mend. A separate account has been set up at Community First Bank if you wish to donate and are unable to make the benefit.
For more information or if you would like to donate toward the benefit, call Jimmy Nusbaum at 641-895-3637 or Korby Loeffler at 641-777-4743.
