OTTUMWA — A reception honoring outgoing Indian Hills Community College president Dr. Jim Lindenmayer will be held from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 31 in Warrior Junction in the Advanced Technology Center on the Ottumwa campus. A short program will be held at 5 p.m.
The event is open to the public.
Lindenmayer announced his retirement last spring and will leave Indian Hills at the end of this month after nearly 34 years at the college. He was the adult education coordinator and a vice president before succeeding Dr. Lyle Hellyer as president in January 2002.
Dr. Marlene Sprouse has been selected to replace Lindenmayer and will be only the fourth president in Indian Hills' history.
