Sweets & More talent show Nov. 16

BONAPARTE — Friends of the Bonaparte Library will be hosting a Sweets & More talent show with wine and cheese tasting and dessert bar Nov. 16 at the Whiteley Opera House in Bonaparte.

The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with wine from Tassel Ridge Winery accompanied by Milton Creamery cheese served by Marilyn Thomas, owner of Bonaparte Pottery.

The ladies of the community will be setting the tables beautifully in wine and fall themes with candlelight to set the mood for the evening.

At 7 p.m., the dessert bar will open with delicious homemade confectioneries. The audience will then be treated throughout the talent show with renditions of popular hits from both the past and present.

The cast for the evening will not only include local performers but also some extra-special guests. It has been rumored that Dolly Parton, Abbott and Costello, Lucille Ball, Jerry Lewis and Cousin Minnie Pearl will be dropping in to perform.

There will be a host of entertainment and wonderful homemade desserts at Sweets & More. Tickets for the evening of fun and relaxation are $10 each. Make your reservations now by calling 319-592-3677 or 319-931-9836. This is a Friends of the Library fundraiser.
