OTTUMWA — United Way of Wapello County thanks all of the individuals and organizations for making a monetary donation to the 2013 Annual Campaign.
In addition to the monetary contribution, hundreds of hours of volunteer work was dedicated to raising needed funds to improve the education, income stability and health of Wapello County.
Ninety-four percent of the donations come through work place employee giving campaigns and corporate matches and/or gifts, and the other 6 percent is contributed by private individuals and small businesses.
The Circle of Honor recognizes companies and organizations at the level of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The following companies are recognized for their commitment to Living United by achieving both increases in their campaigns and the criteria the the Circles of Honor:
Platinum — Friends of Iowa CASA and McCune and Reed Insurance.
Gold — Target, United Way of Wapello County and the Wapello County Board of Supervisors.
Silver — Hospice, serving Davis and Wapello Counties, John Deere Ottumwa Works, MidAmerican Energy and MidWestOne Bank.
Bronze — Anderson Larkin and Co. PC, South Ottumwa Savings Bank, UPS and US Bank.
