OTTUMWA — County officials are praising law enforcement after an incident at the Wapello County Courthouse on Monday.
One person was arrested after becoming violent during court service day, according to Deb Dice, the courts administrator. Dice said Judge Lucy Gamon was presiding at the time and Janet Hall was the judicial assistant. Dice credited Hall with contacting law enforcement.
“I understand law enforcement was there in a matter of 2-3 minutes. That's says a lot for our county law enforcement officers and their response time,” said Dice.
The individual’s name was not immediately available.
