OSKALOOSA — Mahaska County Master Gardeners are hosting a plant swap for all interested gardeners from 9-11 a.m. Sept. 14 in the south parking lot of the Mahaska County Extension Office at 212 N. I St.
Participants are asked to set up at 8:45 a.m. and swap out of the trunk of your car, back of your pickup or bring a table to set up.
Swappable items include bulbs, perennial divisions, rooted clippings, seeds, ornamental grasses, ground covers, rhubarb and other such items. Plants can be potted or bagged. Gardening tools or other gardening related items welcome.
Absolutely no money is to be exchanged for any plants or garden-related items. Participants are asked to please label all plant material indicating name, light requirements (sun, shade, partial sun, etc.), soil and water requirements and a short description (height, color etc.). No weeds or unknown transplants are allowed, and every plant or seed must be identified.
