Get messy, have fun at Survivor 5K

OTTUMWA — The Ottumwa YMCA will hold its first Survivor 5K Challenge Saturday at Victory Ranch just outside of Ottumwa. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and racers will hit the course at 9 a.m.

This event is going to be one wet, wild and messy adventure. Participants can either sign up as a group or as individuals to accomplish the course. With 3.1 miles of rough terrain and seven different obstacles, this event will challenge both the beginner and the seasoned athlete.

The event will be held at Victory Ranch, 15603 Copperhead Road, with part of the proceeds going to support them and their programs to help children and youth deal with grief and loss.
