Pella Tour of Homes Dec. 6-7

PELLA — The 51st annual Christmas Tour of Homes in Pella will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7.

The tour, previously hosted by the Garden Club, has been adopted by the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau. A highlight of the 2013 tour will be the traditional Dutch Coffee Time, hosted at the former Historic Strawtown Inn Restaurant, which will open daily at 9 a.m. Five homes will be offered on this year's tour. A number of the ornaments have been handcrafted, hoping to give you various new holiday ideas to take home and DIY.

"All Things Christmas" 2013 Tour tickets may be used either of the two event dates, Friday or Saturday. Tickets are available through the Pella Convention & Visitors Bureau Chamber Office or at a number of local retail businesses. The ticket price for the tour, including the Dutch Coffee Time at Historic Strawtown, is $15, made payable to the Pella CVB.

All proceeds from the tour will go toward ongoing special events in Pella, community beautification and other projects that encourage visitor traffic, as well as quality of life initiatives for Pella's residents.
