OTTUMWA — Ottumwa Habitat for Humanity again celebrates the traditions of Christmas in 2013 with its annual Festival of Trees.
The Festival of Trees is the primary fundraiser for Habitat. All funds raised from tickets and the purchase of trees will support the building or renovation of affordable housing.
All activities will be held at Pennsylvania Place, located on Bladensburg Road near Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
The event will begin with a gala opening reception from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $10 per person.
On Saturday, the event will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and general admission is $3. All event tickets include admission. There will be a cookie walk that day at 9 a.m., and it will run until they're gone.
Also Saturday, there will be children's activities, cookie decorating, a goody bag, Dizzy the Clown and a visit from Santa. It will run from 9-11 a.m. for $3 per child.
Beginning at noon Sunday, trees purchased can be picked up.
