Wapello county GOP announces 2014 caucus locations

OTTUMWA — The Wapello County Republican Party has announced the locations of its 2014 caucuses. The 2014 Republican caucuses will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 21 at Southern Prairie Area Education Agency, 2814 N. Court St., Ottumwa.

All Republicans are welcome and encouraged to attend.

“We are looking forward to this year's caucuses to organize and further energize our base,” said Wapello County GOP Chair Trudy Caviness. “Republicans are excited as we gear up for the 2014 elections. We have great candidates and a clear message.”

The caucuses are designed to organize the party at the grassroots level.

Three items of business will be conducted at the caucus: elect County Central Committee members, elect delegates for County Convention and submit issues for the platform.

Republican County conventions will be held on Saturday, March 8. District conventions will be held April 26, and the Republican state convention will be held June 14.

Voter registration forms will be available for new registration or to update your voter registration.
