---- — AMES — Nearly 26,000 Iowans have begun tracking activity minutes and/or weight loss as part of Live Healthy Iowa's 13th annual 10 Week Wellness Challenge.

This simple and affordable challenge provides Iowans an opportunity to improve their health while engaging in a fun, friendly competition. The 10 Week Wellness Challenge kicked off on Monday and runs through April 4. Anyone still wishing to join the challenge can register through Feb. 28.

Over the past 13 years, Live Healthy Iowa has seen remarkable lifestyle changes in challenge participants. Iowans are encouraged to team up with two to 10 friends, family members or co-workers, commit to making healthy lifestyle choices, support each other and track their progress.
