LOVILIA — The annual CROP Walk for Hunger will take place for the Lovilia and Bussey area Sunday.
After the three-mile walk to Bussey, refreshments will be enjoyed at the Bussey UMC.
What's the point of walking? Hungry people in developing countries walk as many as six miles a day to get food, water and fuel and take their goods to market. The walk is in solidarity for their struggle for existence. The walk is to help end hunger one step at a time.
Twenty-five percent of the money donated stays in the local community. Plan to walk, or if you can't, participate when asked to pledge.
