Absentee ballots now available for Wapello County

OTTUMWA — Ballots are now available for absentee voting at the Wapello County Auditor's office in the courthouse for voting in the Nov. 5 regular city election.

Voters in the cities of Agency, Blakesburg, Chillicothe, Eddyville, Eldon, Kirkville and Ottumwa who will be unable to go to the polls on Election Day may cast an absentee ballot.

Votes may be cast at the Wapello County Auditor's office on the second floor of the courthouse through Nov. 4. If you wish to have the ballot mailed, you have until 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, to have the written request to the auditor's office.

Absentee ballots mailed must be postmarked by midnight Nov. 4 or be hand-delivered to the auditor's office by the voter or the voter's designee before the polls close on Election Day.
