OTTUMWA Isabelle Theresa Muehe, 76, formerly of 1977 Albia Road, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Ridgewood Care Center.

She was born May 4, 1932 in Ottumwa to Joseph and Marguerite Walter Tierney. She married Frank Phillip Muehe Nov. 15, 1958 in Ottumwa.

A 1952 graduate of Ottumwa Heights Academy, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a long time member of Iowa Genealogical Society. She lived in Agency and worked at Herrmann’s Gardens in Agency for a number of years.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Paul Muehe of Papillion, Neb.; four daughters, Theresa (Ken) Lunkley of Agency, Jennifer (Peter) Carolus of Papillion, Neb., Phyllis (Mark) Hoge of Bridgeville, Pa. and Christina (Mike) Bradley of Papillion, Neb; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Walter Tierney.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. Bernie Weir officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Open visitation begins 9 a.m. Wednesday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will follow the 7 p.m. Wednesday Christian wake service at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Paul Muehe, Ken Lunkley, Peter Carolus, Mike Bradley, Mark Hoge and Aaron Bradley.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wapello and Davis counties.
