Billie Jacalyn Cruikshank, 58, of Bloomfield, died Nov. 1, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 18, 1954, in Kirksville, Mo., to Donald and Ethel Knaack Funk. She married Lowell Dean Cruikshank June 20, 1973, in Bloomfield.
She worked as a beautician, a CNA at area doctors’ offices and a homemaker. She volunteered at Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties, as well as the Lord’s Cupboard in Bloomfield. Billie was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed traveling with her family.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Kerri (Pascal) Duffy of Chicago, Ill., Kristi (Travis) Harris of Bloomfield, Jill (Nick) Ide of Gardner, Kan., and Jacki (Joe) Speer of Albia; nine grandchildren, Baby Girl Duffy due in January, Triston and Hunter Harris, Nora, Audrey and Mason Ide, and Kolin, Kassi and Kole Speer; a sister, Debra (Robert) Johnson of Bloomfield; and a brother, Don (Janean) Funk of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Billie’s wish was to be cremated.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with Pastor Darrell Zook officiating.
A memorial has been established to Good Samaritan Hospice and may be mailed to her husband at 24701 Nectarine Ave, Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
