AGENCY — Charlene Kay Buckman, 70, of 6421 Cemetery Road, died at 2 p.m. February 16, 2014 at her home.
She was born August 19, 1943 in Hammond, IN to Eugene and Lucille Sly Gardner. She married Norman Montgomery on February 8, 1991.
A graduate of West High School in Waterloo, she had been a waitress most of her life having worked at Red Lyon Inn and Stardust Restaurant in Ottumwa.
Her greatest love were her family and her pets.
Surviving are her husband, Norman; a son, Timothy Darrah of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Danielle, Luke and Miranda Darrah; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenny Gardner of Waterloo and Mike (Cheryl) Gardner of Cedar Falls and a sister, Kim (Roger) Hinz of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Lee and Thomas Alan Darrah; her parents and a brother, Eugene Gardner.
Her body has been cremated. No services are planned.
