Over the years, Wendell was active in his church, serving as Sunday School teacher, youth leader, church board and usher. He also sat on the Lucas County Board of Review and was a 4-H leader for 10 years.

One of Wendell’s greatest joys was time with his family. His Christian witness and walk the with Lord created a legacy that has had a definite influence on his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
