OTTUMWA — Robert “Bob” L. Ferguson, 78, of 1105 N. Court St. died at 4:45 a.m. January 27, 2013 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born December 3, 1934 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Russell L. and Hazel S. Gard Ferguson.

A graduate of Agency High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp.

He worked for the Rock Island Railroad and was a car salesman for Glover Ford and then Ottumwa Ford for over 30 years.  He was a member of Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are two sons, Russell (Debbie) Ferguson of Moravia and Thad (Teresa) Ferguson of Chesterfield, MO; three grandchildren, Russell, Robert and Mia Ferguson and a great grandson, Evan Ferguson; two brothers, Donald “Red” (Jeanie) Ferguson and Glen (Rosezetta) Ferguson both of Ottumwa; two sister-in-laws, Jan Ferguson Hackman and Sharon Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, LaVerne “Bernie” Ferguson and Ronald Ferguson.

His body has been cremated.  No services are planned.
