---- — OTTUMWA — Christine Galuppi, 51, went into the Lord’s hands Sept. 27, 2013, after a courageous bout with cancer.
Chris lived for her family's love and was truly a dedicated and loving mother.
Chris was born and raised in Ottumwa and moved to New York in 1989.
Chris was the head custodian at Smith Road Elementary School in the North Syracuse School District. She took pride in her work, which was recognized by both the students and staff at the school by their show of love and support throughout Chris’ illness. A special thanks from Chris’ family for all you have done. The family would also like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff in the 4 South unit at Crouse. Your caring and compassion were noticed.
Chris is survived by her husband of 20 years, Phil; and their two children, Philip and Meghan Galuppi. Also surviving are her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Philip and Corrine Galuppi of Liverpool, N.Y., and her brother Steve (Carla) Clark of Coralville.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paulette (2012) and Jerry (1992) Clark.
A Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool.
Visitation was held Monday at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool, N.Y.
