BLOOMFIELD — Ann Smades Morton, 89, of Bloomfield, died Oct. 17, 2013, at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
She was born Dec. 16, 1923, in Springfield, Mo., to Arthur L. and Mary Elsie Kennemer Smades. She married William S. Morton Oct. 14, 1944, in Springfield, Mo. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 2003. Ann was a homemaker and a member of the Milton Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Linda) Morton of Minneapolis, Minn., James (Rhonda L.) Morton of Pulaski and Tim (Rhonda K.) Morton of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mary Jane Smades; and a brother, Arthur Lee Smades.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; Rev. Justin DeVries officiating. Burial will be at the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 2-4 p.m.
A memorial has been established to Davis County Dollars for Scholars.
