OTTUMWA — John Phillip “J.P.” Pao, 30, of 1039 N. Jefferson St., died November 2, 2013, at his home.
He was born September 5, 1983, in Siquijor, Philippines, to Alfonso Ho and Yoly Pao. He married Jenelyn Ogoc on July 28, 2007.
J.P. had worked the past five years for John Deere Ottumwa Works and enjoyed dirt bike riding.
He attended St. Mary of the Visitation.
Surviving are his wife, Jenelyn; two children, Haley and Tristyn, both at home; mother, Yoly Gardner, of Ottumwa; father, Alfonso Ho, of the Philippines; two sisters, Yoraidyl Gardner, of Ottumwa and Cherry Gardner of Iowa City.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the family present until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Father Bernie Weir presiding. Cremation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
