OTTUMWA — Geraldine F. Hart, 89, of Ottumwa, died at 7:55 a.m. April 4, 2014, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born July 4, 1924, in Ottumwa to A. Norene and Mildred Lowry Larson. She married Donald P. Graham on November 24, 1944, in Albia. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1979. She married Robert H. Hart on September 21, 1985, in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1989.
Geraldine was a graduate of Albia High School. She moved to Ottumwa from Albia in 1960 and then lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., from 1973 to 1980 before moving back to Ottumwa.
She was a member of Davis St. Christian Church, where she had served as elder, deaconess, president of Christian Women’s Fellowship and group leader. She was a past member of THEO’s New Perspectives.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Graham of Ottumwa, Mark Graham of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two daughters, Joyce (Ronnie) Thompson of Ottumwa, Lisa Crane of Douds; a stepdaughter, Linda Marshall of Denver, Colo.; two stepsons, Chris Hart of Macomb, Miss., James Hart of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren, Sarah Graham, Carrie (Brian) Cobler, Heather (Brian) VanEngelenhoven, Katie (Joshua) Brown, Beth Ann (Jim) Mayden, Danielle (Tim) Howell, MaKenzie Crane, Colt Crane, Cody Crane; three stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, Megan and Josie Cobler, Lydia and Bennett VanEngelenhoven, Zander and Greyson Brown, Julian Palmer, Katie Larson, Alyssa and Ashlyn Mayden, Ava, Angel and Sevina Howell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Graham; and a granddaughter, Leslie Graham.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Davis St. Christian Church with Rev. James H. Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery in Albia.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Sunday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
