OTTUMWA — Dorothy Marie Johnson, 86, of Sea-Tac, Wash, formerly of Ottumwa, passed away peacefully May 30, 2013 in Ellensburg, Wash., where she lived with her son Jim Johnson (Cindi) and his family.
Born in Ottumwa to the late Clifford L. and Nina R. Savage, Dorothy graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1944. She worked 25+ years for Seattle Trust and Savings Bank, serving ultimately as a supervisor and trouble-shooter as a corporate assistant vice president.
Dorothy enjoyed activities with her family and was tireless in supporting her children and grandchildren in their many endeavors. She traveled extensively with her late husband of 58 years, Fred Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Claudia (Dave) Alfred, Mike (Maria) Johnson, and Jim (Cindi) Johnson; eight grandchildren including Briana (Josh) Miller, Jaime Johnson, Matt Alfred, Katie Johnson, Kenny Alfred, Jessica Johnson, Ben Johnson and Danny Johnson. Dorothy was the second of four sisters and is survived by Barbara White, Genny (Jim) Davis, Connie Hillman, and sister-in-law Jeris Young, as well as many nieces and nephews.
