OTTUMWA — Naomi M. Carman, 87, of 702 W. Forest St., Belle Plaine, Minn., and formerly of Ottumwa, died September 15, 2013, at St. Gertrude Circle of Life in Shakopee, Minn.
She was born March 7, 1926, in Ottumwa to Elmer J. and Ethel Margaret Watters Cline. She married Alfred P. “Dutch” Carman on July 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1991.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she worked for John Morrell & Co. in Ottumwa until 1973, then in Sioux Falls, S.D. She and her husband had owned and operated Cliff Ave. Flea Vendors in Sioux Falls, S.D. She moved to Belle Plaine, Minn., in 2003.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Kay Jones of Belle Plaine, Minn., and a son, Ted (Rebecca) Carman of Eldon; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Lunkley, and three brothers, John, Ed and Danny Cline.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Ralph Kister officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
