ALBIA — Bekah Leeann Sherman, age 2, of Albia, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Bekah was born March 3, 2011, to Alyssa Sherman and Leroy Keith in Ottumwa.
Bekah enjoyed living life, being outdoors, playing in the dirt, hiding rocks in various places at papa’s house, going on bike rides and playing at the park. She also got great joy from riding on peoples' shoulders.
Bekah is survived by her parents, Alyssa Sherman of Albia and Leroy Keith of Des Moines; a brother and sister, Leland and Morgan Sherman, both of Albia; grandparents, Phil and Laura Clouse of Albia, Russell Sherman of Boone, Tanya Britt of Des Moines, Dennis Melcher of Des Moines; great-grandparents, Gail Clouse, Elizabeth Culbertson and Gene Britt; eight uncles, Tyler and Louie Clouse, Devin Britt, Jared Sawyer, Craig and Drew Sherman, Gunner Maupin, Leon Babcock; three cousins, Jenna Clouse, Clark and Olivia Sherman.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Ed Clouse and Minnette Britt.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Albia; Pastor Nancy Reed officiating.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday at Tharp Funeral Home in Albia with the family present from 5-8 p.m.
