Edward Clark, 90, Albia


ALBIA — Edward Henry Clark, 90, of Albia, passed away Jan. 15, 2013, under the care of Monroe County Hospice at Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Edward was born Aug. 23, 1922, on a farm southwest of Albia to Henry and Leona (Shank) Clark. He married Marjorie Swartz on May 16, 1943. To this union, two daughters were born, Saundra and Karen.

Edward graduated from Albia High School, class of 1940. He farmed for many years, and after retirement, enjoyed woodworking. Edward was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia.

Edward is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Albia; two daughters, Saundra (Ray) Woodard and Karen Ciska; four grandchildren, Brian Ciska, Annette (Jerry) Taylor, Marc (Tracy) Woodard and Brent (Heidi) Ciska; and four great-grandchildren, Devin and Jacob Ciska and Laura and Alexis Woodard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and Bryan.

Edward’s body has been cremated, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
