BLOOMFIELD — Carolyn Jane Sedore, 75, of Bloomfield, died at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 25, 2013, at Bloomfield Care Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1938, in rural Selma to Harry and Merel Ritz Northup and married Larry Sedore on May 27, 1955, at Memphis, Mo. He died Sept. 13, 2007.
Carolyn spent most of her life in rural Eldon on the family farm. Later in life, she operated Carolyn’s Lunch Wagon and followed auctions around the local area.
She is survived by a son, Jim Sedore of Selma; two daughters, Georgia Gustafson (Jerry) of Eldon and Cathy Clubb (Darrell) of Keosauqua; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Northup (Mary Nell) of Eldon; brother-in-law, Wayne McClure (Ann) of Ottumwa; and a sister-in-law, Verla Benson (Don) of Fort Madison.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Jean McClure; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Liebold.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds; pastor Dave Albert officiating. Burial will be in Iowaville Cemetery, west of Selma.
Visitation will open at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 5-7 p.m.
