OTTUMWA — Jane Robinson, 72, of 1123 W. Mary St., died at 12:05 a.m. November 12, 2013, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born August 30, 1941, in Canton, Mo., to John Bratcher and Gladys Bratcher Kite. She married Leslie Francis Robinson on November 9, 1979. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2009.
Jane graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 1972 with a degree in computer programming. She worked for 26 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 1998. Jane volunteered at the Ottumwa Pro Balloon Races for many years and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are four daughters, Teri (Tim) Williams of Roswell, N.M., Traci Brown of Ottumwa, Toni (Kenny) Clark of Waller, Texas, and Dawn (Jeff) Stodghill of Ottumwa; three sons, Mark (Alesia) VanVelsor of Ottumwa, Mike (Lisa) VanVelsor of Somerset, Wis., and Jim Robinson of Ottumwa; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Marie Scott of Oskaloosa, Charlene (Paul) Luntsford of Moberly, Mo., Jeanette Stark of Keokuk, Joan (Bill) King of DeSoto, Kan., and Kelli (Jesse) Carney of Grandview, Mo.; and her dog, Cookie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her dog, Spice.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Courtney officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
