FREMONT — Leo C. Carr, 60, of West Burlington, died June 11, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
He was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Corydon, the son of Harry and Betty Johnson Carr. He graduated from the Fremont Community High School with the class of 1972. After graduation, he worked as a pipe welder for several different contractors. Leo enjoyed playing pool and loved hunting, especially duck hunting.
His family includes his ex-wife Karlene Carr of West Burlington; two daughters, Holly Carr of Oskaloosa and Amy Carr of West Burlington; two grandchildren, Ashton and Kaylee Carr of West Burlington; two brothers, Mike (Shelly) Carr and William Carr of Eddyville; and a sister, Joanne (Doug) Hedlund of Oskaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Chuck Carr.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the South Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. A procession will form at the Fremont Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m. for those wishing to go to the cemetery.
