BLOOMFIELD — Lillian Irene Miller, 92, of Bloomfield, died June 17, 2014, at the Bloomfield Care Center.
She was born Feb. 16, 1922, near Mark, Iowa, to Gladis and Eulalia Barnett Dabney. She married Kenneth Clarke Miller May 10, 1942, in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death May 18, 2014.
Lillian was a homemaker and taught in rural schools in Davis and Van Buren counties. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crafts as well as playing the piano and singing. She taught Sunday school for several years.
She is survived by her son, Lewis (Terri) Miller of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Brent (Shannon) Miller of Overland Park, Kansas, Barbie (Tim) Slayton of Bloomfield, Becky (Aaron) Murphy of Osage, Iowa; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Geneva Waybill of Moulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Pastor Tim Frasher officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with the family present to greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
