OTTUMWA — Pamela Sue Clayton, 64, of 307 W. 16th Ave. Coal Valley, IL, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 2:58 p.m. June 26, 2014 at Trinity Regional Health Systems in Rock Island, IL.
She was born August 17, 1949 in Ottumwa to Robert and Loretta Long Barker. She married Daniel R. Clayton on May 19, 1979.
A 1967 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Pamela worked as an infrastructure systems analyst for 35 1/2 years at John Deere Milan PDC.
She was a member and past president of Coal Valley Lions Club. She served as secretary for many years and received the Melvin Jones award twice.
Pamela enjoyed camping, the Quad City Mallards hockey team and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a love for reading and the Smokey Mountains.
Surviving is her husband, Dan; a daughter, Cheri (Dan) Woodsmall of Olathe, KS; her father, Robert M. (Frances Blew) Barker of Ottumwa; a brother, Richard (Diane) Barker of Knoxville, IL; two sisters, Crystal (Gary) Pherigo of Galesburg and Tammy (Dave) Loerzel of Ottumwa; four granddaughters, Ashley Goodwin, Madison Goodwin, Taylor Woodsmall, Morgan Woodsmall; two great-grandchildren, Kallan and Allyson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta E. Barker.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
