BLADENSBURG — Juanita M. Hanna, 75, of Bladensburg, died at 12:15 a.m. June 24, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
She was born September 28, 1938, in Fairview, Kansas, to Carl J. and Mary F. Reinier Jasper. She married James F. Fenton and they had four children; she then married Ellis W.(Short) Hanna on April 27, 1988.
A graduate of Agency High School, she worked the majority of her career at Wal-Mart, where she was currently employed.
She enjoyed ceramics, painting, working in her yard and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Ellis; her four children, Darrell (Terri) Fenton of Red Oak, Craig (Barb) Fenton of Burlington, Rhonda (Steve) Guyer of Altoona and Laura (Ray) Medlock of Lenexa, Kansas; a stepdaughter, Valerie (Darren) Reese of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (LouDell) Jasper of Bella Vista, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Harold Sharp of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Sill of Bladensburg; and her two dogs, Mitsy and Buffy.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joyce Jasper; and her sister, Mary Louise Sharp.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Iowa City or Agency Fire and Rescue.
