OTTUMWA — Keva Suzanne Hale, 49, Northwood, passed away July 12, 2014, of cancer while surrounded by her family.
Keva Suzanne (Keele) Hale was born on Dec. 26, 1964, in Guthrie Center, the daughter of Dr. Larry and Judith (Poe) Keele. She attended schools in Coralville, Eldridge and Tama and graduated from high school in Ottumwa in 1983. She graduated from Indian Hills Community College, Buena Vista University and received her masters from University of Northern Iowa.
Keva was director at Sunshine and Rainbows Preschool in Red Oak, worked as a home intervention teacher for Southern Prairie AEA and worked for AEA 267 for the past 13 years in numerous capacities: directing the program at Project Childcare located in Manly, assisted area schools in complying for certification of their preschool programs, teaching courses for preschool teachers. She enjoyed doing verification visits to preschools around the state and participating as a member of the state leadership team.
