---- — OTTUMWA — Thomas Clayton Farley, 53, of Ottumwa, passed away July 22, 2013 at his home after a long courageous battle with colon cancer.

Tom was born on March 1, 1960 in Ottumwa to Raphael (Dave) and Jean Jackson Farley. He was raised in and received his education in Eldon. He was employed by Cargill in the maintenance department and was a union steward for U.F.C.W. local 230. Tom enjoyed fishing, old cars, guns, cb radio going by the name of (Roadrunner) he also enjoyed watching NASCAR, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by two daughter,s Amanda (Scott) Cooper of Seymour and Megan Farley of Centerville; two grandchildren, Tayleigh and Charleigh Cooper; stepfather Bob Troxel of Ottumwa; siblings, Butch (Sheila) Brown of Garwin, Sue (Bob) Thompson of Newton, Rick (Linda) Brown of Hubert, N.C., Patricia (Marty) Jones of Ottumwa, David Michael Farley ofLong Beach Calif., Tim Farley of Ottumwa, Debi (Bryan) Bybee of Waco Texas, Jack Farley of Lubbock, Texas, Janice (Bill) Shackelford of Jacksonville Fla., Janet (Gerry) Stoll of Huxley, Donia Ehret of Ottumwa, Joann (Steve) Wee of Luther and Rodney (Sharon) Troxel of Swansboro, N.C. Tom is also survived by numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Rapheal (Jupe) Farley.

Family will be present at 5 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
