Ivalyne Sanders, 88, of 411 Appanoose died March 24, 2013 at her home.
She was born December 12, 1924 in Roswell, GA to Joseph and Olive Nix Stroup. She married Earl Sanders on September 17, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1988.
Ivalyne had worked at the Wapello County Historical Society, the Salvation Army and at the Women’s Crisis Center.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Warren) McDonald of Springfield, MO and Pearlyne Sanders of The Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa; four sons, Steve (Becky) Hudson of Buffalo, NY, Eugene (Diana) Sanders of Sparta, MO, Donald (Sara) Sanders of Ottumwa and Danny Sanders of Kansas City, MO; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ester Lee and Carolyn both of Cummings, GA.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David Hudson and Earl Junior Sanders; two brothers, Carlos and Eugene and two sisters, Betty and Louise.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
