Paul Diveley, 6 months, North Liberty


OTTUMWA — Paul Christopher Diveley, 6-month-old infant son of Melissa and Christopher Diveley, of North Liberty, died suddenly Jan. 23, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Paul Christopher Diveley was born on Aug. 1, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Since that day, he has grown into a very beautiful, healthy little boy, loved by so many.

His family includes his parents, Christopher and Melissa (Schmitt) Diveley; brother, William; grandparents, Ronald and Jane Schmitt of Ft. Atkinson, Robert and Lynn Diveley of Ottumwa and Julie and Jay Peterson of Russell; great-grandparents, Marie Tieskoetter of Ossian, Elmer and Dorothy Schmitt of Ft. Atkinson and Bonnie Thies of Iowa Falls; aunts and uncles, Shaun (Kendra) Schmitt of Calmar, Scott Schmitt of Ridgeway, Heidi Schmitt of Ft. Atkinson, Nick (Stephanie) Diveley of Agency, Jennie (Jeremy) Sanford and Kelly (Richard) Schlotter, both of Ottumwa, and Becky (Andrew) Zwack of North Carolina; and many cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Paul Tieskoetter, Wallace Thies and Clarence and Vivian Diveley.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.

Private family graveside services will be held at Ridgewood Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday prior to the services and following the services.
