Carroll Frank “Babe” Forney II., 63, of 16440 Hwy 34, Lot 97, died at 9:02 a.m. March 13, 2013 at home.
He was born October 4, 1949 in Ottumwa to Carroll and Eileen White Forney Sr. He married Judy Ann Kelley on November 10, 1993.
Carroll had worked for Hormel in the smoke house, and was a semi-truck driver for many years for TLC. He also managed Hidden Valley Trailer Park for many years. He liked to fish, hunt and gamble. Carroll loved riding four wheelers and motorcycles, living in the country, his pets and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Judy; seven children, Allen Edward (Krissy) Forney, Frank (Shelly) Forney, Shawn Forney, Sarah Forney Collis (Paul Ashby), Michael (Dora) Barwick, Mark Kelley (Teresa Miller), Jessie Kelley (Ray Young); 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nancy Davis, Sarah Trafford, Mary Bowman, Margie Collins and Marie Doty.
He was preceded in death by a son, Babe Benjamin Forney and two brothers, Larry Wick and Bennie Forney.
His body has been cremated.
A memorial celebration will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Ottumwa Baptist Temple.
