---- — OTTUMWA — William “Bill” Guy Schweigert, 50, of 116 W. Rochester St., died at 7:48 p.m. May 14, 2014, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born December 18, 1963, in Tacoma, Wash. He married Koni Cramblit on October 11, 2011, in Lafayette, Ind.
Bill had attended school in Ely, Minn., and earned an AA degree in history from the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point, Wis. He was a sales territory manager for Schwan’s Home Service and had been a resident of Ottumwa since January 2013.
Bill was very active in and passionate about sports, especially baseball. He took great pride in the outdoors, having been a guide in the Boundary Waters. His witty personality was uplifting and always made you laugh.
Surviving are his wife, Koni; a stepson Chase (Dana) Cramblit of Springville, Iowa; a granddaughter, Taylor Marie Cramblit; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Jo Boles of Ottumwa; a sister, Krystal (Brian) Lowney of Puyallup, Wash.; sister-in-law, Darci (Chuck) Hammer of Ottumwa; brother-in-law, Blaise (Susan Duffy) Boles of Ann Arbor, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating.
Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for his granddaughter, Taylor Marie’s education.
