OTTUMWA — Richard “Dick” Lee Rolison, 73, of 126 S. Cooper Ave., died at 7:50 p.m. May 31, 2014, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born June 3, 1940, in Ottumwa to Carlton and Rosie Loy Rolison. He married Clarice Aubrey on June 3, 1960.
He retired as an over-the-road semi driver.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed war movies, history, old-time country music, auctions and restoring old chairs. Dick was a solid family man and he enjoyed his grandchildren, telling stories, his dogs and especially old Lobo.
Surviving are his wife, Clarice; three daughters, Lori Woollums and Cathy (Keith) Skinner, both of Ottumwa, and Lisa (Dan) Steele of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Richard Wade (Keiko) Rolison of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren, Travis, Joshua, Maria, Kegan, Kami, Seila, Christopher, Rachel and Alicia; three great-grandsons, Eythan, Urijah and Tre’von; two sisters, Betty Richards and Ann Rolison, both of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marilyn Shearer; and an infant brother, Robert Rolison.
His body has been cremated.
Graveside services with inurnment will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Shaul Cemetery with Norman Ward officiating.
