OTTUMWA — Keith Bernard Hawk, 86, formerly of 314 Richmond Ave., died at 8:52 a.m. July 9, 2013, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born March 11, 1927, in Pleasant Plain to Rollie and Laura Radley Hawk.
Keith was a longtime businessman having owned and operated Hawk’s Auto Sales for over 40 years. His car business and his friends made up his life.
Surviving are four sons, Lyle (Jenny) Hawk of Albuquerque, N.M., Greg Hawk and Steve Hawk. both of Ottumwa, Brad Hawk of Eldon; three daughters, Kathleen Hawk of Ottumwa, Angie (Terry) Hamm of Agency and Lisa VanKlavern of Tipton; five grandchildren, Jodi (Glen) O’Dell, Brandon (Stephanie) Hawk, Michelle (Ryan) Williams, David VanKlavern and Melissa VanKlavern; two great-grandchildren, Linna (Dave) Matthews and Ryan O’Dell; a great-great-grandson, Brantley Matthews, and an unborn great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hawk; a sister, Viola Diehl of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters, Nancy Munguia and infants Terry and Tina Hawk; three brothers, Kenneth, Maynard and Willard Hawk; and a sister, Ethel Hawk.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor John Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Lower Richwoods Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
