KEOSAUQUA — Patricia Dunn Heater, 82, of Keosauqua, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center — Keosauqua.
She was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant to George Graham and Audrey Lessenger Dunn and married Richard D. Heater Nov. 20, 1949, at her parent’s home in the Sharon community north of Farmington. He survives.
Pat graduated from Donnellson High School, worked as a bookkeeper and secretary and retired as assistant personnel director for Louden Manufacturing, Fairfield. She was a member of Keosauqua United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Rebekahs and had belonged to D.A.R. and P.E.O.
Following retirement, the Heaters wintered in Florida and enjoyed their travels and collecting. An accomplished seamstress, she sewed most of her own clothing. She and Dick could be found on the golf course many mornings following their retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Ben) Morris of Keosauqua and Gianna (Roy) Barrow of Bonaparte; grandchildren, Matthew Morris, Carrie (Colby) Larsen, Heath (Amber) Barrow and Abbe (Ryan) Ball; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua; Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Mt Pleasant.
Visitation was held Thursday.
