ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Joyce Ann Rogers, age 69, of St Louis, Mo., died March 12, 2013, at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis.
Joyce was born June 11, 1943, in Centerville and as a young child was adopted by Buck and Margaret (Dugan) Kincade. She married Karl Rogers on June 25, 1961, in Moravia Grace United Methodist Church in Moravia. To this union they had three children, Kris, Jeff and Kevin.
A 1962 graduate of Moravia High School, Joyce attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Christian Church in St. Charles, Mo. She enjoyed quilting, music, traveling and especially being with her kids and grandkids.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Karl Rogers of St. Louis, Mo.; three children, Kris (Mark) Frame of Warrenton, Mo., Jeff Rogers of St. Louis, Mo., and Kevin (Laura) Rogers of Peoria, Ariz.; four grandkids, Jason Rogers, Ike Frame, Brendan Rogers and Bryan Rogers; a brother, John Schmidt of Winter Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia; Pastor Neil Montz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Albia.
No visitation is planned. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.tharpfh.com.
