OTTUMWA — Charles Barwick, 70, of 412 Waverly Ave., died at 9 a.m. May 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1943, in Ottumwa to Eugene H. and Mary Crumes Barwick. He married Virginia Coyne on Dec. 31, 1959.
A resident of Ottumwa all of his life, he had worked for the IBEW Union as an electrician for 35 years.
He loved spending time with his family and animals, especially his dog, Bixby.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; four children, Connie (Will) Hazelwood, Georgina (Patrick) Monohon, Charles (Julie) Barwick and Cassandra Barwick (Scott Durflinger), all of Ottumwa; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jess Barwick of Clinton and Greg Barwick of Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Shadom Hazelwood; and a brother, Mike Barwick.
His body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time.
